  1. Textbooks: A wide variety of curriculum materials relating to Career Education Life Skills Education, Health, Problem Solving, Critical Thinking, and Consumer Economics from various publishers including Janus-Fearon, Walsch, Incentives for Learning, and Milliken.

 

  1. Prerequisites: All students must have current IEP with goals and objectives specific to Life Skills.

 

  1. The purpose of the Community Skills Class is to give students a variety of experiences in Life Skills Learning and to help them prepare for transition into the adult world. Following is an outline of the various topics covered within the Community Skills curriculum. Because our students often take this course more than once, these topics will be addressed in a variety of ways with differing emphasis from year to year.
